Got the sheath done for this Turley Neo Edo Green River, Still have a dangler and baldric strap to make up. But, waiting on material for the strap, so I will post pictures of the sheath today.

a good mix of beads and coon and badger claws with a little antler thrown in for good measure.

Took the time to add something extra, just cause. A very strong sail needle into the welt of the sheath.

This is something I have been wanting to do for some time now. I post alot on various forums, and call BushcraftUSA my home. But, I need a place to showcase my work that is all mine. And this will be it.

Being the last day of 2013, I want to take time to reflect on the past year and how far I have come with my "art". Which is what I think of my leather work. I take pride in what I do, I would continue to do it even if no one was buying my work. It consumes me.

Last October I was given the chance to start a subforum on BushcraftUSA. Which really led to me taking orders for my work. At that point I had only made stuff for myself. Trading a few items along the way.

I have been given the chance to make alot of really cool gear in the past year, and had the pleasure of dealing with alot of very good people. It is a joy to open a package from a "customer" and fondle some really kick ass knives and other cutting tools that otherwise I would never get to handle in person.

While I do really get into the more historical type pieces, they are a pain in the ass. As everyone wants them to be period correct. And that means alot more time and alot more work. Which means I have to charge more for them.

The stuff that I'm allowed to put my own spin on things are what I really like to do. I try to make gear that I would want to use myself. I am learning that just cause something looks good doesn't mean it will work well. Such as quill work. It looks badass, but honestly it doesnt hold up on most things that get used hard.

Anyway, I'm not much with words I will do my best to keep this up to date with my works to come.
