Knapped basketmakers knife and rawhide sheath

Flint knapped basketmakers style knife, with deer rawhide sheath, fur is coyote. Bones are also coyote, foot bones. Four strand braided hemp twine for neck lanyard. A very useable, practical primitive blade style, or would great as a show piece.

I traded for this blade a while back, I did not make it. I will have some more available soon though that I did knap myself.

This piece is for sale.

David  Holladay did an excellent write up on this style of blade in Earth Skills, which was later published in David Wescott's book, Primitive Technology a Book of Earth Skills Also a very good read and lots of great info in there.
